Two-time Queen’s Award for Innovation winner Panaz, specialists in the design, manufacture and distribution of furnishing fabrics for the worldwide hospitality and leisure markets, seek a Business Development Manager to cover our Northern sales territory (northern England/North Wales).
Reporting to the Head of Hospitality Sales, the individual will be responsible for servicing and expanding the territory’s client base of designers, specifiers, architects, contractors and upholsterers serving the hospitality industry, with particular emphasis on specification-led projects. Dynamism, enthusiasm and self-motivation are prerequisites for the position. The individual will work as part of a focussed Hospitality Sector Sales Team, and will be required to work closely with colleagues to guide projects from specification to sale on a national, and often international, basis.
The position requires a proven track record in business-to-business sales, preferably in contract fabrics or another FF&E product line. The candidate would be expected to have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage one’s own time, the ability to report concisely but informatively and the ability to close a sale. Computer literacy, with knowledge of Windows XP and Office Professional, is essential. Familiarity with CRM systems would be an advantage.
