Besselink & Jones is a leading manufacturer and retailer of traditional and contemporary decorative lighting. We have a vacancy for a Sales Consultant within the Trade Sales Department based at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre.
Applicants should have proven experience in a relevant retail environment, be strongly sales driven and confident to offer excellent customer service. Applicants should have knowledge of decorative lighting coupled with an ability and interest in interior decorating. Duties will include telephone, internet and sample orders, responding to customer emails, and showroom cover. As well as showroom duties you will help identify new opportunities whilst providing essential administrative support to the Showroom Manager on marketing, sales, advertising, and website projects.
We work on prestigious projects with designers from around the world, the successful candidate must have a close attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Applicants should have proven experience in a relevant environment, be strongly sales driven and confident to offer excellent customer service.
Qualities
• Professional but friendly attitude towards clients and customer facing at all times
• Excellent command of the English language and outstanding business communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in computers, Windows XP Outlook and MS Office
• Experience of managing and developing client relationships
• Ability to establish credibility with clients through understanding their business needs
• Commercially aware, able to see and focus on the big picture
• Capable of making appropriate financial and operational decisions
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
• Organised and able to plan operations in great detail to tight time-scales
• Good-humoured under pressure, you will enjoy taking projects to completion
• Deliver results and thrive with the responsibility of making things happen
• Accurate timekeeper, adept at prioritisation and have an ability to plan your workload in line with the tasks for which you are responsible
• Methodical and logical approach and supportive to team members
• Must be very quick to learn, with a high level of enthusiasm and not be afraid to share good ideas
• Willingness to learn about Besselink & Jones and our products
Monday- Friday 9am-5.30pm (occasional Saturday working on rotation)
20 days holiday. Salary depending on experience
