Spas: Angsana Spa Opens in Movenpick Resort

In spring 2005 the Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna broadened its offer to include 115 new rooms and suites, an additional large swimming pool and a Mediterranean speciality restaurant. Guests may now also enjoy the newly opened Angsana Spa, offering modern spa treatments to soothe body, mind and soul. It is the Swiss international hotel chain’s fifth resort already to specialise in wellness and spa facilities.

Angsana Spa uses natural ingredients such as flowers, fruits, herbs, spices and plants for all its professional treatments. It combines aroma therapies with Eastern and Western treatment techniques to rejuvenate and invigorate body, mind and soul. Angsana Spa operates in many countries, and the El Gouna facilities are the first of its kind in Egypt.

The 500 square meter spa premises feature 10 therapy rooms (including two exclusive deluxe suites with spa baths, steam bath and shower) and a manicure and pedicure room. The Angsana Gallery also offers the guest a wide selection of top-quality products and spa accessories. As a special inaugural offer a 20 % discount is available on all à la carte treatments until 31 December 2005.

Following its extension to a total surface area of 250'000 square meters the Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna on the shores of the Red Sea now offers a total of 533 rooms and suites, eight restaurants and bars, four large swimming pools, a multitude of sports and leisure facilities, a conference centre and a private beach some 2.5 km in length.

The Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna is already the fifth resort of the Swiss international hotel chain to specialise in wellness and spa facilities. The Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea, which recently received the MENA Golden Award in the “Best Spa” category, is located on the shores of the Dead Sea in Jordan. The Mövenpick Ulysse Palace & Thalasso on the island of Djerba, Tunisia, is a firm favourite with enthusiasts of thalasso therapies.

The Essential Spa (ESPA) at the Mövenpick Hotel & Resort Beirut in the Lebanon also offers an outstanding experience. And the Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Alamein, which opened in summer 2004 on Egypt’s Mediterranean coastline, recently inaugurated its wellness and spa centre which is run by Sothys, offering a complete range of massages and thalasso therapies.
