Directory company iPerceptions have won some major contracts in the Hospitality and other sectors since the beginning of the year.
InterContinental Hotels use the company as part of their very successful web bookings service now reputed to generate 80% of the groups bookings via the web. iPerceptions provides an innovative software package used on the website to identify and quantify the quality of the experience of the corporate website. It enables companies to fine tune the website, to mine the ‘hits’ for useable data, and to further use the website as part of the customer Relations Management system.
Other companies signing up for this service in 2003 include Carlson Hospitality, BMW, Daimler Chrysler, iDine, Alcan, Bombardier, Ford and Volvo.
Significant progress has been made in the area of 'sector data'. With proprietary programs for response mapping and sector reporting, it is now possible to compare any site's ratings to others in the same sector. The most mature sectors are the Hospitality and Automotive industries, with Publishing and Finance developing nicely. To this end, standard webValidator projects now include periodic trend comparison reports by sector for a one year period. These reports compare your data against the most recently available sector data.
