In 1982, the HOSPES Palacio del Bailío was declared a Monument of Cultural Heritage, and is a clear commitment to the harmonic combination of culture, wellness, art, history, haute cuisine and relaxation, which characterise all HOSPES establishments, making them unique places. During the opening ceremony, guests were also able to appreciate the extensive refurbishment carried out by the team of architects and interior designers of Hospes Design, to recuperate one of the most historic and emblematic buildings of the city.
The HOSPES Palacio del Bailío is the seventh HOSPES establishment, together with the Hospes Amérigo in Alicante, the Hospes Palacio de los Patos in Granada, the Hospes Maricel in Mallorca, the Hospes las Casas del Rey de Baeza in Sevilla, Hospes Palau de la Mar in Valencia and the recently opened Hospes Lancaster in Paris. Two new hotels are planned for 2007, the Hospes Villa Paulita in Puigcerdà and the Hospes Madrid in the capital of Spain. The aim of Hospes is to reach a portfolio of 30 establishments in Europe over the next ten years.
