The Hyatt Regency Hotel Düsseldorf in Germany is to open its doors in a top location at Düsseldorf harbour in the course of 2006. Feuring Visionary Hotel Development – is responsible for the concept of the ultra-modern and design-orientated five star hotel with 286 rooms and suites. The group of companies from Mainz, Germany was assigned to procure the management agreement with Global Hyatt by Projektgesellschaft Hafenspitze, represented by managing associate Peter Schunk, and also secured the financing of the project in close cooperation with Bankhaus Wölbern
The 16-storey hotel tower will not only be sensational as a leading business hotel with a new design style by Global Hyatt. Also the concept is unique for this trendsetting hotel project with inter-national dimensions and without the involvement of any foreign investors. The Hyatt Regency Hotel is being created on a sought-after plot at the end of a tongue of land in the harbour – the previous home of the popular beach club “Monkey’s Island” – and will set a signal for the young in-scene quarter at the Rhine harbour of the provincial capital of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The total investment volume for the office tower, a further office building and the Hyatt Regency Hotel Düsseldorf, the latter of which will comprise one of the wings of the two lighthouse-like twin towers, amounts to approx. 145 million Euro. The hotel’s 286 rooms and suites will be complemented with a restaurant and a number of bars as well as a health club and spa, a swimming pool and an extensive meeting and conference area. A 150 metre long pedestrian bridge spanning the harbour basin was already completed last year by the City of Düsseldorf. This connects the location even better to the centre of town and makes it easier to reach means of public transport.
