It is intended that the vessel, the Harmony II, shall be used as a showroom for the UK contract industry as well as being available for hire. In between hires the companies will use the ship to present to customers wherever they are. It is intended that future ports of call may include Barcelona, Dubai etc., where local specifiers and designers will be invited on board the floating showcase.
His many friends will be delighted to learn that the ship has been designed internally by Anthony Barnes, with wife Anne, a partnership well known in the hotel design industry. Anne and Anthony Barnes were part of the team of practices used by Olga Polizzi when in charge of design at Forte hotels before its takeover and destruction by Granada.
