Shangri-La Hotel, Rises From The Arabian Desert

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotel group, presents Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, rising from the sand in a magical Arabian setting. Overlooking the majestic Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi, the hotel, which soft opened on 12th August this year, now has its four restaurants fully operational as well as 75% of the entire rooms’ inventory.

The hotel’s total room inventory is expected to be available at the beginning of November, when the Speciality and Presidential Suites are completed, at which time the hotel will offer 214 luxurious rooms and suites, all with balconies.

Shangri-La Hotel, Abu Dhabi, will soon be joined by CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, expected to soft-open next month; the Shangri-La Residences; and six luxury villas, all
situated within the 21-acre Qaryat Al Beri project, owned by the Al Jaber Group. Rounding out this new Abu Dhabi luxury destination will be an eclectic retail shopping centre with Arabic souk architectural references and waterfront restaurants.

Qaryat Al Beri will be the first destination in the UAE to offer CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, when it soft opens next month. CHI treatments are inspired by traditional healing philosophies from China and the Himalayas, and are based upon the principles of restoring balance and harmony to mind and body.

Developed by a team of experts, CHI, The Spa signature therapies are based on the Chinese philosophy of the five elements metal, water, wood, fire and earth working in balance with the yang and the yin energy within the body.

The Shangri-La Residences will house 161 spacious serviced apartments, ranging from studio to four–bedroom units and are expected to be completed at the end of the year. The hotel also boasts a state-of-the-art business centre, the Al Nojoom ballroom and five conference and meeting spaces, including Al Majlis on the fifth floor, that includes pre and post function cocktail areas, private meeting spaces and a banqueting area.
