On a bright sunny day in a London swathed in beautiful autumn colours, the Swissôtel team chose London for the signing of their latest management contract,for the new hotel in Novosibirsk. Fresh from the snowy environs of the Siberian Oblast, Mikhail Nenashev, the youthful president of development company Sibacademinvest signed on behalf of the developers.

The latest Swissôtel for this global chain expands their presence in Eastern Europe and Asia. Architects are the Japanese group Nikkei Sekkei,whilst project management will be by UK company Savant.
Interior designs we are told will be by Italian company Francesco Molon.
The project will cost over $110 million and is due for completion by 2009 adding to the 30 plus hotels in the group, which include the Howard Hotel where today’s signing took place.
“The new Swissôtel Novosibirsk marks our further expansion into Russia” said Meinhard Huck, the Managing Director of Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts and signatory to today’s agreement. “After successfully operating the Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow since the Summer of 2005, this second hotel in the Russian market is set to strengthen our presence in this important market”
