Hotel Developments: Swissôtel continue investment programme

As the Swissôtel Grand Efes Izmir prepares for its opening in December 2007, the company coninues with its major investment programme. Owned since 2005 by US company Colony Capital and Kingdom Hotels Limited Swissôtel is part of the Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, and has its corporate headquarters in Zurich headed by Managing Director Meinhard Huck.

The $65 million (£32 million) refurbishment of the Grand Efes will transform the hotel into a five star Swissôtel, and is part of a continuing programme of investment that has seen additional floors added to London's Swissôtel Howard, along with investment in a continuing refurbishment programme.

New hotels are being developed , which include the previously featured Swissôtel Novosibirsk for 2009, and new hotels in
* China in Foshan and Shanghai, both scheduled to open in 2008
* Estonia, in Tallinn scheduled to open in November 2007
* Germany with a new hotel in Bremen coming on stream in Spring 2008.
