Wyndham Vacation Ownership recently announced the acquisition of 100 vacation ownership units at the Emerald Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, Fla. from Emerald Beach Resort, LLC. The company also entered into a contractual agreement to purchase 156 additional units. The acquisition is the company’s first in Panama City Beach and will become Wyndham’s fifth vacation ownership property in the Florida Panhandle. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Situated in an area with rapidly developing amenities, the Emerald Beach Resort is located at 14700 Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach. It is anticipated that the newly-acquired condominium-styled units, with spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico, will be made available for occupancy in fall 2007 as part of the company’s FairShare Plus by Wyndham vacation ownership exchange program. The new Panama City Beach location complements several existing Wyndham Vacation Ownership properties in nearby Destin, Fla., including Bay Club, Wyndham Bay Club II, Wyndham Beach Street Cottages and Wyndham Majestic Sun resorts.

Located within a newly constructed tower at the resort, Wyndham’s vacation ownership units will include a combination of spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom fully-furnished condominium-styled units, all featuring a private balcony, full kitchen, living room, dining room, and washer and dryer.
