The company which produces in excess of 200,000 units a year has experienced significant growth in recent years. Despite unprecedented growth in a very dynamic industry, the Boss Group have managed to significantly improve the disposal process of its end of life chairs as part of a commitment to not send 200 tonnes of waste to landfill year on year.

Representatives from the company collected the award at a special reception at the House of Commons, on Friday 9th November. Director Phil Duggan said: ‘We are delighted to have received an award in recognition of the effort we are putting into being a socially responsible company.’ He adds: ‘this year alone, not only have we achieved carbon neutral status, but with the help of our suppliers, we continue to proactively monitor the carbon label of our new and existing product ranges.

Managed by the Green Organisation, the Green Apple campaign is now into its fifteenth year of recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental endeavours and initiatives at all levels. The awards aim to recognise individual company achievements and to inspire others by publicising examples of environmental best practice.
