Hotel Design: Accor’s new model Novotel continues to be rolled out

Accor’s prime site Novotel in Brussels has recently had a makeover with the new model bedrooms being used to refurbish the bedroom areas, and local designer Dominique Hottois providing the schemes for the successful refurbishment of the ground floor area. You can see previous iterations of the Novotel new format in the Reviews of the Novotel Greenwich and the Novotel Bucharest

The interior makes an interesting contrast with the new Carlton Dominican, also recently opened and claiming to be Belgium’s first design hotel, a rather over inflated claim, given its proximity to Rocco Forte’s Hotel Amigo just around the corner, never mind competing with the well designed Novotel Brussels. The Novotel ground floor areas have a family likeness to the Novotel Bucharest, and are obviously attracting passing trade as well as guest to dine, and for the ad hoc business meeting over coffee that form such a part of hotel lobby action now.
