At the heart of the Andaz brand is a commitment to deliver attention to detail, cultural and environmental sensitivity with a passion for excellence. The brand will be an hotel experience that blends distinctive style with uncompromised service in a sincere and hospitable setting.
Hyatt created Andaz in response to customer demand for a new hotel experience. Guests want a synergy of a high-end luxury hotel with a smaller, design driven boutique product. Andaz brand aims to tear down barriers, both literally and figuratively, creating five-star luxury within a relaxed, comfortable, accessible yet stylish manner. Designated check-in areas, the rigid barriers found in most hotels, are replaced with a 'warm and authentic' “Living Spaces” allowing for a more personal and informal interaction. Using portable computer technology allows freedom to choose manner and pace of check-in, whether it takes place while sipping a glass of wine in the Living Space, or en route to the room. Open kitchens will encourage personal interaction between guest and chef. The Andaz team will in essence treat each visitor as a guest in a home, not a brick and mortar client.
Andaz service breaks new ground. Each member of the Andaz team will act as host, and will be cross-trained as concierge, doorman, or receptionist. The team is trained to facilitate each hotel experience allowing guests To express their individuality. Each guest’s personal preference will assist in defining the details of their stay. Whatever the need, each Andaz team member will personally facilitate that request.
Andaz design is intended to be innovative and timeless. Each property is reflective of the cultural framework of the destination. Respected designers and architects, both locally and from around the world, will be chosen for their ability to execute the Andaz vision while paying homage to the inherent personality of each neighborhood.
Andaz is environmentally conscious. All properties will utilize energy efficient systems and biodegradable products to the full extent possible. Food and beverage outlets will serve organic, local products as often as possible and new developments use ecologically low impact building materials. As a core standard for the brand, every aspect of each property will be approached with the environment in mind.
