After more than 20 months of extensive renovation work, including the addition of a 7th floor, Rocco Forte's Le Richemond in Geneva has opened again to reveal its sensational new look created by one of the world's foremost interior designers, John Stefanidis. This jewel amongst the Rocco Forte Collection's hotels now boasts 109 spacious new bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, three meeting rooms, a ballroom and spa all designed in Stefanidis' vibrant, sophisticated style.
Sir Rocco Forte and his sister, Olga Polizzi, Director of Design at The Rocco Forte Collection, invited John Stefanidis to collaborate with them on this project, based on his ability to create interiors where comfort and elegance are paramount and which reflect the prestigious history of the hotel and its spectacular views of the Alps and Lake Geneva.
'John has not only reinforced the unique ambience, which is such a part of the appeal of Le Richemond, but has also successfully created a great sense of space, comfort and style with modern state-of-the art technology throughout.'
Sir Rocco Forte
Taking neo-Baroque references and in Le Bar, Art Deco, as his inspiration, he has created an exciting, unique space with universal appeal. Key elements at Le Richemond include the spectacular lacquer bar, luxurious marble bathrooms and sumptuous bedrooms with wood panelling and John Stefanidis' hallmark furniture and fabrics.
' It has been a pleasure to work on the re-design of this legendary hotel bringing what I hope is a unique sense of style and sophistication to a wonderful setting.'
