Katherine Doggrell, editor of Hotel Report, said ‘TRI Hospitality Consulting faced strong competition, but the view of the 1,000 plus voters was that the group provided consistent high quality in-depth advice which the industry had come to rely on and HotStats could be counted as one of the sector’s definitive benchmarking services’.

The Hotel Report Awards are nominated and voted for by the industry itself, with an academy of more than 200 sector leaders deciding the shortlist; the finalists are chosen by a wider vote. TRI overcame strong competition from the other nominees in the category who were PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Berwin Leighton Paisner, CMS Cameron McKenna and Rothschild.
