The ultra chic, avant-garde Casanova by Rafael Hotels has opened Stone, Barcelona’s first indoor and outdoor spa. Stone encompasses the imaginative, creative ethos of the hotel with innovative signature treatments and packages underpinned by its own philosophy based on the healing properties of stone. A new way of nurturing what is at the body’s core, the aesthetic and restorative benefits of stone therapies combined with time-honoured healing techniques will bring guests back to their natural best.

Signature treatments include the Teotihuacan Wonder massage, named in honour of the City of Gods, with its alluring aroma of cocoa eliminating stress and improving blood circulation: a real seduction of the skin and senses. Facials are enriched with ingredients mixed with quartz crystals, such as the Stone of the Moon, an ultra-nourishing facial that helps guests to connect with their inner spirit.

Challenging the very notion of what a stone represents, these unique treatments harness the principles of nature’s alchemy. Aided by the medicinal power of precious gems, minerals and essences, guests can reap the reward of a perfect balance in their chakras, reviving the body inside and out. This promise is set in stone for guests entering the spa through the gift of a wishing stone to carry away negative energies and act as a talisman beyond your visit.

Representations of stone inspire the décor, with contemporary design realised in natural materials such as bamboo wood and pebbled flooring, creating a haven of tranquillity in the heart of the city.

Stone boasts five treatment rooms, comprising three Earth rooms; a Sensations space with a Vichy shower and bed, Hammam and chromotherapy; and a Volcano of Waters area for hydrotherapy treatments. Other facilities include a steam room, sauna and a serene relaxation area where guests can enjoy the soothing effects of a hot neck pillow whilst overlooking the Mediterranean garden where plants and flowers are lovingly cultivated for use in Stone spa’s treatments.
