Interior Designers Anouska Hempel have specified Italian limestones and Indian granite for use in the bathrooms, kitchens and fireplaces. With around 8000m2 of finished stonework to install in over 170 bathrooms on a tight programme, IDEAL have been called in to co-ordinate all activities in relation to the stone. This will include quarry visits in Italy and inspection of manufacturing facilities as well as specification writing, planning and programming.

IDEAL's Managing Director stated: 'We are delighted that this client can see the benefit in involving the specialist contractors at an early stage. The savings they will make with improved efficiency and benefits to the programme could be enormous. We are hoping to secure the package for the supply and installation work, which starts later this year, but that is not our main aim at the moment. The Design requirements are very precise and we have to ensure that the stone quarries have the capacity to produce the volume required and that a very high level of quality is maintained through every process.'
