The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina is putting the finishing touches to its interior design ahead of its opening this May. The hotel, set to become Westin's flagship property in the UAE, will exude the 'Westin Difference' from the moment a guest enters the lobby.
The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina will incorporate the brand's new Sensory Welcome, comprising white tea scents, muted music, soft lighting and botanical products.
The entrance lobby has been designed to give a feeling of openness and space, while soft touches in the forms of sound, light, scent and carefully selected planting and flower displays will lead the guest to immediately feel relaxed and refreshed.
The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina will provide a wide range of design concepts, from its neoclassical exterior, which unfolds like a grand palace across the sands of Jumeirah, to its modern, high-tech interiors, which feature a play on colours, textures, lighting and display art to create a unique and innovative ambience.
Studitalia Decor LLC, an Italian interior design firm, is behind the public area interiors now receiving finishing touches at the five-star resort property.
'The strong architectural personality and monumental character of the hotel gave us our starting point for planning the interiors. Having such an eclectic exterior, we decided the interiors should be equally dynamic, so that the whole project would guide the guest through a journey in time,' explained Massimo Bertelli, Designer with Studitalia Decor LLC.
'The interiors have been designed to provoke continuous feelings of 'Deja Vue' in the guests, as familiar objects are given a new, modern twist but still evoking their traditional charms. This duality is best presented in the lobby area, where a reception balcony, familiar in shape, is made extraordinary by its monumental size and unique marble pagination,' he added.
Embracing Westin's characteristics of personal, instinctive and renewal, all rooms and suites at Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina will have Heavenly Beds, luxurious bath amenities and hi-tech LCD TV screens, while the Heavenly Spa by Westin (trade marked) and Westin Workout provide total relaxation and rejuvenation.
The property will feature 294 rooms, including 216 deluxe rooms, 52 Westin Executive rooms, and 24 suites, apart from a spa, a health club, and four bars and four themed restaurants.
State-of-the-art conference and banqueting facilities include an 8,999 square feet ballroom, an Italian designed conference centre with 7 meeting rooms, an outdoor beachside amphitheatre, and a variety of lawn locations accommodating up to 5,000 guests.
