Central Park Hotel No Longer Under Mövenpick Management

The Central Park Hotel in Rome is no longer part of the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio. The management contract between the owner company I.R.P.S. (Immobiliare Residenziale Pineta Sacchetti s.r.l.) and the international hotel chain based in Switzerland was terminated by mutual agreement on 1 April 2008.

The 4-star hotel with 162 rooms and suites, restaurants and banqueting facilities was part of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts since November 2001 and was the Swiss Hotel Group’s only operation in Italy.

“We can look back on a pleasant association with I.R.P.S.”, says Jean Gabriel Pérès, President & CEO of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. “We regret that strategic reasons have now brought the partnership to an end. Rome and Italy, however, are still part of our development plans.”
