This substantial mahogany and bronze double door entranceway was recently removed from a central London banking institution cleared for redevelopment. Yorkshire-based architectural antiques specialists Andy Thornton Ltd recently acquired the stunning piece and set about sympathetically renovating it in their workshops, ready for immediate re-installation.
At an imposing height of 3075 mm and width of 2200 mm, the stunning entryway will create a centrepiece feature to a luxury hotel, upmarket retail store or corporate facility and impart a timeless, unique elegance to its surroundings. Manufactured in mahogany with spectacular, ornate cast brass infills, the entranceway also features a classical header with attractive mouldings, in pleasing contrast with the dark mahogany.
Andy Thornton’s 60,000 sq ft Victoria Mills showrooms and warehouse contains the world’s largest selection of architectural antiques and salvage. The four floors of the mill are brimming with every kind of architectural artefact imaginable including panelling, fireplaces, doors, church furnishings, church furniture and lighting.
