Phase two saw the creation of two new luxury suites – The Belvedere Suite and the Junior Suite. These will provide a design template for the complete redesign of all the hotels rooms over the next few years.
The redesign will see classic Mykonian materials of marble and plaster, mixed with a twist on other luxurious natural materials such as hammered metal, and carved rosewood. Hues of whites, warm tans and greens reflect the Mykonian and Aegean land- and seascapes outside. Sophisticated yacht-inspired built-in amenities are integrated into the carved rosewood millwork and furniture within the rooms, from pull-out desks, under-bed storage, make-up stations, retractable work top and dining tables, TV stations and full-service bar trolleys. Sliding screens offer guests the flexibility of closing off or opening up the spaces.

Each room and suite is uniquely programmed with a turn-down service to transform the feeling of the rooms from morning to evening. One-touch dimming switches customize the lighting in the rooms and on the balconies, and there is also candlelight for a more ambient evening mood. The Belvedere staff will use the bar trolleys, wooden bed trays and ice buckets to prepare the spaces for either a private evening or for entertaining purposes. In addition to customized music and lighting, different luxurious throws and pillows with mother-of-pearl and detailed stitching to the bed with customized furniture are used to create a luxurious evening setting.
Standard Room
At 75 square feet, the Standard Room offers a room with a queen-sized bed with under-bed storage, a personal island terrace, and a plaster and marble niche with built-in full service bar trolley, a beverage center, and a retractable work top/dining table. The first new style standard room will be ready for the summer season 2009.
Junior Suite
This is a 130 square foot space with a bedroom with a king-sized bed and a living room. The flexible screens make this an ideal place for privacy or for entertaining. In addition to the built-in amenities available in the Standard Room, the Junior Suite has a multi-functional carved rosewood millwork installation that separates the living room from the bathroom, with a built-in freezer and ice machine, a recessed TV station, a make-up desk, and a variety of drawers. There is a balcony off the bedroom, and an island terrace off the living room. One Junior Suite opened for the 2008 season.
Belvedere Suite
This 197 square foot signature suite offers an open floor plan of a bedroom with a king-sized bed, and a living room separated by a curved rosewood screen. Off of these rooms are two terraces with spectacular views of the Mykonos town, the Aegean Sea and the Belvedere Pool, where guests can sunbathe or lounge. The living room features the multi-functional rosewood millwork installation included in the Junior Suite. There is also an oversized 65 square foot bathroom that boasts a roomy shower, a free-standing soaking tub, a comfortable dressing area, and an outdoor terrace. One Belvedere Suite opened for the 2008 season.
