Ulster Carpets Showcase in the Westin Grand Hotel, Berlin

Located in the heart of the city’s historic centre, the Westin Grand Hotel in Berlin was erected in 1987, before the collapse of the Berlin Wall and today combines history with the emerging avant-garde culture. Recently renovated, the floors of the exquisite five star Westin Grand have been transformed by Ulster Carpets in conjunction with award-winning design firm, Alexandra Champalimaud Design.

Inspired by the contemporary art scene in Berlin, Ulster Carpets created a series of designs using PSYLO™, their patented weaving technology. By addressing the weaknesses of electronic jacquards, PSYLO™ exclusively offers total design freedom and unparalleled enhancements in the use of colour (using a palette of up to 25 colours) whilst maximising manufacturing efficiency and consistency of quality. The resulting designs are a magnificent collection of geometric designs infused with warm hues of red, gold, aubergine and grey.

The Westin Berlin is now a leading hospitality destination showcasing contemporary design with a touch of historic detailing.
