For HotelDesigns August is a month, like December, when readership falls. This year however, we celebrate adding our 14,000th user to register to use the Directory of Suppliers on the site. Of these registrations, some 13,300 are still active and over 9,200 receive our daily e-mail shots on New Products, Job Vacancies and News Updates - a free service.

During this month we also registered our 200th member of the DesignClub and will approach adding our 7,000th image to the database of interior images in the Gallery, moving towards our target of offering you 15,000 royalty free interior images to use.

With some 50% of our users overseas we will focus on looking at overseas markets for Design and at the potential for the growth, especially in Africa and Eastern Europe, to take up the slack becoming apparent as the US market slows down and UK projects struggle to find the finance to proceed.

For six years we have provided the interior design and supply industry with daily news and insights into the hotel design market. Our Review archive approaches 100 hotels with forthcoming Reviews including the new Rocco Forte in Munich, the Radisson in Berlin, a first look at the brand values of Swissotel as well as a continuing series through the miniviews looking at the vernacular and ordinary in the hotel world.

We look forward to the next six years, to continuing to develop our services to the industry and to bringing news perhaps of our mailing list going past 20,000 and over 30,000 users of the Directory?? Who knows, but watch this site as we continue our exciting growth path...
