Wynn Resort has finally opened to guests. As one would expect from Las Vegas, the hotel has all the superlatives, including the title of the most expensive hotel in America.

Yet again illustrating how small scale London hotels are, the Wynn Resort Las Vegas has 2,700 rooms, 22 restaurants, 45 Spa treatment rooms, casinos and shopping malls including a Ferrari and a Maserati dealership.
However as Steve Wynn himself says on the hotel website, "surely nothing is more important than the rooms" and here are three room plans to show the layouts.Boasting that whilst Michaelangelo took three years to complete the Sistine Ceiling "your room took five" considerably raises expectations as to what the rooms are like.
The hotel claims that "its easy to mistake any of our rooms...for a stylish apartment in New York City, London or Rome". Each room has floor to ceiling windows with automatic drapery controls at the bedside, bathroom "with soaking tub"and the usual Turkish oversize towels and bedroom linens.
There are new resorts lined up by Wynn in Macau, and the company recently announced that it had been notified by the Singapore Tourism Board that it has qualified to participate in the Request for Proposal for an Integrated Resort that will be issued by the Singapore Government in the second quarter of 2005.
Ron Kramer, President of Wynn Resorts, said, "We are committed to continuing our participation in the process initiated by the Singapore government and look forward to working with the governmental agencies to develop a new, exciting destination." The company will also be involved inthe development of the Wynn Resort Macau
so it will be interesting to see how this concept travels.
