Hotel Design: New Hilton in Sydney

Sydney’s newest upscale hotel, the Hilton Sydney today confirmed that it is set to open its doors for business on 15 July 2005. As construction nears completion, Hilton will gain possession of the hotel from Leighton Contractors on a progressive basis, culminating in the 15 July opening.Designed by Johnson, Pilton Walker, the architects behind the Sydney Opera House makeover, the 577-room Hilton Sydney renovation will be the largest single site investment by Hilton International to date. The new Hilton Sydney will feature Australia’s largest hotel convention and meeting space outside an exhibition centre. Purpose built for the conference, convention and exhibition community, it offers four dedicated levels of conference and convention space totalling 4000 m2 and featuring 23 meeting rooms. The site has a capacity for 3000 delegates
