The Royal Oak Foundation

The Royal Oak Foundation was established in 1973 as an offshoot of the UK’s National Trust, to bring out the common heritage of the US and the UK, which the National Trust properties and gardens in the UK form.

Now with over 44,000 U.S. members and friends the Foundation presents a lecture and exhibition programme throughout the USA. In addition the Royal Oak Foundation, with help from sponsors such as the Drue Heinz Trust, has raised large sums of money for historic conservation programmes, together with grants and prizes to enable Americans to study in the UK.

Relevant lectures of the Foundation are featured in our Events calendar. Due to the popularity of this programme attendance at some of these lectures is oversubscribed, so the Foundation has decided to give preference to Members of the Foundation. To join the Royal Oak Foundation readers should contact The Royal oak Foundation, 26 Broadway Suite 950, New York, NY 10004-1715, telephone +1 212-480-2889.
