The architects and interior designers were mindful of the beauty and historical significance of Eiffel's railway station and particular care was taken to ensure the hotel was contextual and sat comfortably within its locality. Magyar influences, specifically Hungarian, also predominate the design whilst producing a contemporary and international hotel.

The main restaurant is located on the upper floor with the bar, meeting rooms and ballrooms. To create a sense of place the guest's journey to the restaurant is punctuated with areas of architectural interest and diversion. The restaurant has a large terrace which overlooks the historic buildings of Budapest.

Fast Track
Of Special note was the programme which was extremely pressured due to the nature of the city centre site and the need for the hotel to open as soon as possible after the retail mall.

KCA International were appointed as the interior designers after the building was already topped out in June 1999 and were able to produce and obtain approvals for full design proposals as quickly as August 1999. Likewise the drawing and specification phases were achieved by September and October respectively. The ambitious opening date of July 2000 was successfully achieved.
